Smooth-talking Narbath Nadine secretly filmed eight young women after tricking them into becoming his first clients as they stood nude after a bath and were massaged on his futon.

The 52-year-old had cut spyholes in the wall of his bathroom at Ballance Street, and rigged cameras in a cupboard.

He even persuaded the women to be blindfolded as he massaged them but he was rumbled when two of the victims mentioned the defendant’s odd practices to a manager at a gym and then contacted the police.

Nadine was arrested and pleaded guilty to nine offences of voyeurism and eight offences of sexual assault.

He was jailed for 14 months at Bristol Crown Court and will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.

Mary Harley, prosecuting, said Nadine had met his first victim in January this year, telling her that he was looking for 50 clients for a massage and hairdressing business he was setting up at his home.

The defendant met the woman again in a pub on January 27 before taking her to his flat, which was furnished only with a futon mattress on the floor and a chair.

Mrs Harley said the defendant had claimed that his girlfriend was in an adjoining room hairdressing.

She said the victim was then encouraged to have a bath in the bathroom and a bottle of vodka was provided to help her relax.

“He told her that as the bath water was hot, she should get out from time to time and stand in a bowl of cold water and lean over on the bath,” said Mrs Harley.

She said the defendant had cut spyholes into the bathroom wall at waist height so that women could be filmed without them knowing.

The court heard the victim had then been invited into the massage room and blindfolded before she was massaged around the area of her breasts and buttocks and the top of her thighs.

Her back was then massaged as she sat on a chair before she went back to the bathroom to dress.

Mrs Harley said the woman was then asked to complete a form that appeared to have the NHS logo on it.

She said six other victims aged in their 20s, and a 19-year-old student, had all gone to Nadine’s flat where they were filmed and sexually assaulted.

She said the defendant was finally arrested when two of the women on separate occasions told the manager at a gym about their odd experience.

The women were put in touch with each other and one contacted the police.

When the flat was searched in April, 24 video cassettes were seized and the eight victims were identified from the footage.

Mrs Harley said it became clear that the defendant was taking pictures of them blindfolded while he touched himself.

Charles Row, defending, said his client had never intended to distribute the films and pictures of the victims.

He said his client suffered from arthritis in one arm and had been taking 24 tablets a day at the time of the offences, which had affected his judgement and behaviour.

Mr Row said Nadine had attended a massage course 20 years ago which he did not complete and had found he became sexually aroused by massage.

Jailing Nadine, Judge James Tabor QC said: “The gravity of the offence is the breach of trust of the women concerned, the amount of times and amount of women you assaulted and the care and precision you took to set up this entire charade.

“It’s unsurprising your victims felt violated, upset and vulnerable.

“Vulnerable because they feared that what you had taken with your cine film and hand held camera might find its way into the public domain because it’s so easy now for pictures to be published.”

He was so excited about being in the Meatpacking District that he unpacked his meat.

That’s the rule — not the exception — at the exhibitionist-friendly Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District, employees told The Post.

Even hotel staffers and managers get in on the act, workers said, stripping down and posing provocatively in front of the massive floor-to-ceiling windows to draw attention to the hotel, which straddles the city’s new High Line Park.

“We don’t discourage it. In actual fact, we encourage it,” a friendly bellhop told a pair of reporters as they checked in yesterday at The Standard, where randy guests cavort with abandon to the dismay — or delight — of parkgoers below.

After the hotel opened late last year, the bellhop said, naked and semidressed staff members were encouraged to pose in front of the windows. The point, he said, was to create a buzz with the unexpected peep show.

“One of the managers even got naked in a room, and filmed it — they were considering a live feed for the Web site,” the staffer said. “She’s an exhibitionist, too.”

As The Post reported Monday and yesterday, the X-rated windows have infuriated some families, neighbors and visitors to the High Line.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn subsequently called for The Standard to tone down the sexcapades.

The hotel’s management responded by saying it would make “a concerted effort to remind guests of the transparency of the guest room windows.”

But there was no “reminder” when reporters checked into a room there yesterday.

Instead, when the front-desk staffer was asked about the army of cameras outside, she brushed aside concerns about keeping the curtains open.

Besides, she added, “It would be illegal for anyone to take your picture through the window.”

One problem: She’s wrong.

The only warning to guests was a letter, left in the room, from manager Ian Nicholson — and outlining the month’s window-washing schedule.

The cleanings take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, Nicholson noted, adding that guests who wanted to “maintain privacy” should “please keep your curtains drawn.”

The 18-story Standard opened with raunch-friendly ads.

“We’ll put up with your banging if you’ll put up with ours,” declared one ad playing on the ongoing construction at the hotel, and featuring a woman clad in nothing but a tool belt.

The hotel also has asked guests to share their “intimate and explicit photos with us — those floor to ceiling windows aren’t just for the views.”

Since then, onlookers have reported seeing men masturbating, professional porn films being shot, and couples engaging in sex in full view of park-goers below.

In a statement issued late Tuesday, the hotel did not directly address its employees’ claims to The Post, but said: “When we built The Standard, we hoped it would provide the best views of New York looking out. We didn’t anticipate that it would also provide those views looking in.”

It also said management would “continue to assiduously remind guests that their windows are transparent” and also “make it a point to remind guests about the considerate use of curtains.”

According to a court document, a woman told investigators that she was getting dressed after taking a shower, Thursday, May 28, 2009, when she noticed a camera in the closet. The woman says it was recording and she picked it up to look at the video. She says the video showed 33 year-old Silvio Frances Lucchesi, a man who lives in the house with the victim’s daughter, adjusting the camera in the closet. The video also showed the woman naked on two different occasions.

The woman told police that she never gave anyone permission to videotape her.

Silvio Frances Lucchesi has been charged with Unlawful Photographing in Violation of Privacy.

Joseph Peter Newman, 42, received a two-year suspended jail sentence for 135 charges of unlawfully using a surveillance device and two counts of stalking.

Police said they were disappointed the legislation for these kinds of offences did not reflect the seriousness of the actions.

Despite facing 135 charges of unlawfully using an optical surveillance device, police said the maximum penalty Newman could have received in this case was one year’s imprisonment.

Under the legislation, police claim they could not charge Newman with indecent filming because there was no such offence for adults.

Police became aware of Newman’s activities after an Ellenbrook woman spotted him filming her through her bedroom window on October 5 last year.

Paul Boase, 33, admitted hiding his mobile telephone to film the woman for his own sexual gratification.

The voyeuristic exploits of Boase, from Wheal Gerry in Camborne, West Cornwall, came to light when his wife became suspicious he was having an affair and found the videos on his mobile telephone.

Boase previously pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism and yesterday at Truro Magistrates Court he was given a 36-month supervision order.

He will have to sign the sex offenders’ register for five years and take part in the Thames Valley sex offender programme.

Prosecutor Jill Wilson told the court yesterday: “It was on November 8 when the defendant’s wife was looking through the defendant’s mobile phone when she found two videos of a woman in the shower naked and in the bedroom naked.”

The court heard previously Boase’s wife transferred the video from his phone on to her phone using Bluetooth technology and then confronted him.

Boase admitted there was no affair going on and that the woman knew nothing about the video.

Mrs Wilson said: “He was asked to leave the marital home. He was arrested only a few days afterwards on November 12 but it seems he had already destroyed his phone with the videos on it.

“He fully admitted the offences and that it was for his own gratification.”

The court heard that, during police interview, Boase insisted he had not passed the images to anyone else or put them on the Internet.

Chairman of the bench, Carolyn Rule, told Boase: “Obviously this is a very serious matter. This is a very serious situation but because of your early guilty plea and your obvious remorse we are going to give you a community order.”

The shoe peeper

According to the Neptune Beach police, Jeffery Polizzi went into Aqua East on Atlantic Boulevard last Monday, stood next to the dressing room and put his shoe under the door.

“She noticed it, grabbed his arm and he took off running,” said Assistant police Chief Tony Carrillo.

Carrillo said three different women reported this happening to them. One said she was naked in the dressing room when she noticed a black shoe extended into the dressing room.

The man ran out of the store when confronted, police said

Police said they were able to catch the suspect because one of the people inside the shop went outside and noticed a car that usually wasn’t parked on one side of the parking lot, so an officer waited for several hours. He said the suspect came back got in the car and led him on a short chase.

Once apprehended, police said they found a camera attached to the tongue of Polizzi’s shoe.

“He cut about a 2-inch hole to put a camera in,” Carrillo said. “It is unusual. It’s the only one that I know of around.”

Police said Polizzi confessed to concealing a small digital camera in his shoe with the lens pointed up through a hole he cut in attempt to photograph naked women.

An Aqua East employee told Channel 4′s Dan Leveton she found the indecent “bizarre” and was glad the man accused of doing it was in custody.

Polizzi was charged with video voyeurism. At his first appearance on the charge, he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to serve four months in jail.

Jeremy Williams, 34, also pleaded guilty to 13 counts of voyeurism, assault, break-ins and possession of stolen property — 21 offences in total — committed in 2006 and 2007.

Crown attorney Richard Weatherston says Williams looked for opportunities to spy on women and was “quite good” at avoiding detection.

In fact, he was caught only because he left a stolen video camera behind in the bedroom of a Sarnia teenager.

The girl found images of herself on the camera, which were shot from outside her bedroom window.

The court heard Williams forgot the camera after he became distracted by the girl’s underwear.

The camera contained images of Williams and he was arrest the same day.

The charges of sexual assault and production of child pornography involved a seven-year-old girl.

While the child was sleeping Williams photographed himself touching her vaginal area.

Dr. Philip Klassen, an expert in the field of sexual offenders, testified Williams is not a pedophile.

Testing did not confirm pedophilia, Klassen told the court.

The court was shown about 20 minutes of video from the camera featuring short clips of women in various states of nudity.

Klassen told the court voyeurism and a fetish for women’s underwear were driving forces for Williams.

The woman, identified only as Tammy, said an employee at a Lifetime Fitness gym used his cell phone to spy on her in the family shower area.

“I’m very angry that his man is getting away with this, and he could possibly be taping other women and children,” Tammy said.

Tammy contacted Rescue 4 after the incident.

Tammy said her workout routine turned bizarre a few months ago when she noticed what she thought looked like a camera at the Commerce Township Lifetime Fitness gym. Her daughter was sitting on a bench nearby.

“I looked down and noticed what looked like it was a camera, so I thought to myself, ‘no, it can’t be,”’ Tammy said. “And I looked down again and it was there again.”

Tammy said someone reached right under the shower door and held their cell phone to record her while she was naked.

“So disgusted I wrapped myself in a towel, whipped open the door and there I see the male employee of Lifetime fumbling with his phone right at the sink,” she said.

Management at the gym told Tammy there was little they could do.

“They basically told me, ‘Well there is nothing we can do, we don’t want to take a report because we don’t want any confusion,’” she said. “I said, ‘Well the police need to be called.’ They said, ‘That’s totally up to you.’”

Tammy did call the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies questioned the man.

According to police reports by Rescue 4, “There was a seven second video clip contained on the phone.” And that forensic computer experts restored the deleted video clip from the phone.

Rescue 4 was able to obtain the video clip, but what it showed was perhaps more disturbing.

The woman on the clip was not Tammy.

According to the reports authorities found a “video that shows a person stepping out of a shower and a child sitting on a bench.” But the seven second clip shows a woman with her baby in the shower.”

Deputies confirm that the video was taken at the Commerce gym, and on Oct. 11 of 2008 at 5:53 p.m.

Lifetime said the employee has since been fired.

HMS Ocean sailor Paul Opie who is on bail at Plymouth Crown court after pleading guilty to 16 counts of various sexual crimes including voyeurism

DEVON, UNITED KINGDOM – Paul Opie, 36, used his mobile phone to take short video clips of the female crewmen as they used a shower block on the quayside at the HMS Drake naval base, Plymouth, Devon.

The engineering mechanic was caught after filming his own face by accident as he aimed his camera downwards from the ceiling, at a naked woman sailor.

Plymouth Crown Court was told he used his knowledge of the building and his engineering skills to find a void space inside a wall of the block where he filmed the rest of the clips over six months.

Opie, a father of three, who was jailed for two years, was a petty officer aboard the helicopter carrier HMS Ocean. He will now be dismissed from the Navy after an 18-year career, the court heard.

He admitted seven offences of voyeurism involving seven Wrens at the base, and eight unrelated offences of making or possessing child pornography.

Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, told him: “You placed a mobile phone in a toilet block so you could secretly film a female Royal Navy colleague changing her uniform.

“You then made six more movie files using a void space you discovered which gave you the opportunity to film secretly as female colleagues dressed and undressed in the changing room.

“They were identified from the films and are now aware of what you did. In each case you filmed their private parts and transferred the files to your laptop so you could enjoy looking at them.

“The outrage and distress which your victims felt is both obvious and understandable.”

Andrew Maitland, prosecuting, said police found the images on Opie’s computer when they investigated child pornography case allegations.

He said: “He inserted his camera phone in the washing ablutions section of the shore base at Devonport’s number 10 dock when his ship HMS Ocean was tied up alongside.

“He discovered there was a void at the back of a wall. One of the clips was taken through the ceiling and the others through the wall.

“In the clip from the ceiling his face actually appears facing up into the removable section from which he photographed straight down.

“Those filmed are angry at the violation of their privacy.”

Mr Maitland said police also found 56 child pornography images on Opie’s computer including one of a naked young girl who was tied up and being threatened with a weapon by a slightly older girl who was also naked.

Nick Lewin, defending, said Opie’s wife had left him as a result of the case, and he would now lose his career and his pension.

He said: “Clearly the photographs were for his own sexual gratification. He cannot understand how he found excuses for his behaviour which he knows to have been desperately wrong.”

Boulder Police say 44-year-old Wesley Cox was arrested on Oct. 31 after a couple spotted him outside their window in the 1500 block of 48th Street with his video camera. The couple, who were Cox’s neighbors, confronted him and held him down until police arrived.

While they waited, police say the couple noticed Cox was trying to erase the videotape, but prevented him from deleting it.

After his arrest, police found an array of incriminating shots on the camera – several of which included naked women who have yet to be identified. Another shot showed Cox in someone else’s bedroom masturbating with women’s underwear.

After viewing the videotape, police got a search warrant for Cox’s home at 1505 48th Street, where they found a myriad of underwear and other items of clothing, including Boulder High School cheerleading outfits. Cox posted bond and was released prior to the search of his home. Police say they have no way of knowing if Cox disposed of other videotapes before he was arrested again.

Cox was booked on charges of unlawful sexual contact and trespassing in late October before being arrested again Nov. 15 on additional charges.

Police believe all the items were stolen within a two-mile radius of Cox’s home. They think Cox would break into the women’s homes, steal things from them, then become obsessed with the victims.

Authorities are hoping the victims can aid their investigation by identifying items that belong to them in the photos, which could lead to additional charges. Photos of the items can be viewed at http://www.bouldercolorado.gov/police/prowle.

Police hope claimed items will lead them to identify several women seen on Cox’s tapes.

“We realize this is an unusual request and an unusual step for us to take,” said Boulder Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley. “Frankly, we felt it was our best course of action.”
