NEW YORK – An Orthodox rabbi is accused of telling a woman he would help her convert to Judaism if she had sex with him and his friends. According to the blog Failed Messiah, Rabbi Leib Tropper of Rockland County told Shannon Orand, a 32-year-old gentile who was interested in becoming a Jew: “If you fulfill my needs, I’ll fulfill yours — and you need a conversion.”
The Post reports that Orand recorded a conversation in which the rabbi urged her to have sex and participate in phone sex with his friends including an individual called “the Satmar guy.” He purportedly told the woman, who he called “darling” and “cutie pie,” that he “could role-play a rape…but I couldn’t actually rape you — you know what I’m saying, darling — does that make sense?” Read the rest of this entry »

David Dueppen wants his Epiphany....No seriously, that's the kid's name
MIAMI, FLORIDA – Former South Florida Catholic priest David Dueppen admits he fathered a baby with a former stripper but now wants custody of the infant girl.
In court documents filed this week in Miami-Dade family court, Dueppen said he wants majority custody of baby Marilyn Epiphany.

EGYPT – A kit produced in China that simulates the breaking of a hymen has caused controversy after conservative leaders claimed it broke Islamic laws.
The device has a small pouch of blood that is punctured by the penis at the time of intercourse, and simulated the breaking of the hymen, reports say.

Store selling chametz on Pesach?
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – The Rishon Lezion Magistrates’ Court acquitted Arieh Yerushalmi, an ultra-Orthodox man who stripped in a supermarket store during Passover, from charges of indecent assault in public, yet found him guilty of indecent conduct in a public place.
During Passover of last year, Yerushalmi entered a non-kosher supermarket chain store and stripped in protest of the store’s policy to continue selling leavened food during the holidays. Yerushalmi claimed that according to the verdict given by the court in Jerusalem, the supermarket was not declared a public domain for the sale of matzot, and therefore his acts did not take place in a public domain either.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Dave Weigel, the intrepid Washington Independent reporter, was at the Omni Shoreham last week for the Value Voters conference, when Tom Coburn’s chief of staff, Michael Schwartz embarked on a rambling explanation of the perils of homosexuality.
Schwartz, a longtime conservative activist who has been with Oklahoma Republican for 15 years, first claimed that homosexuality is wrong because most 10-year-old boys have an innate hatred for it.

UNITED STATES – A malicious hacking attack on a Christian dating site has been used to break into Facebook accounts and post obscene and racist comments.
Hackers defaced a Facebook page by posting the message “If he dies can I have some of his stuff?” on a note that was asking people to pray for a sick relative .
The online group called 4chan – which hacked former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin’s email account and spread hoax news about a spate of celebrity deaths – is now targeting Christians on Facebook.
