The three Hawks in question are Patrick Kane, Kris Versteeg, and John Madden. Apparently the Hawks felt a need to hit the streets of Vancouver for a little pregame or postgame fun.

Maybe they felt a need to mingle with the locals before the upcoming winter games that Vancouver will be hosting. No matter the reason these pictures have raised some eyebrows in Chicago, and perhaps for good reason.

It’s undetermined at this point when the pictures were taken, but one would hope it wasn’t the night before the Canucks put a whooping on the boys wearing the Indian head.

The pictures themselves really don’t bother me. Young rich athletes having a good time with some attractive females doesn’t seem to far fetched in my opinion. If it factored into the Hawks losing 5-1 to Vancouver though, it’s a different story.

Haven’t we come to expect this kind of thing? Sure we would like to think our athletes would be a bit more cautious, but let’s get real. They are human too.

In a world where your picture is being snapped more times then we even realize anymore, I’m surprised incidents like this don’t blow up in the face of an athlete more often. Just ask Greg Oden or maybe even Tiger Woods.

Rumors surrounding the pictures began to fly almost as soon as they hit the web. Ranging from talks of a possible orgy to the pictures perhaps being photo shopped. One of the rumors can be put to bed though, and unfortunately for the players involved it’s not the one referencing the orgy.

The Chicago Blackhawks organization has felt a need to address the issue, or NON-issue in my opinion, by confirming that the pictures are indeed authentic. What a shock that is.

What these guys want to do on their own time is honestly up to them. However, if what they are doing on their own time starts to affect their performance on a professional level; this is where the real problem lies.

I look at the statement the organization made as them wanting to slam the door on this issue and stop it from becoming a bigger distraction then it’s already become. They should just be happy Patrick Kane wasn’t photographed beating up the driver of the limo.

This is the price you pay to be a professional athlete. When you reach a certain point, your privacy is thrown out the window. In this case it was thrown out the window of a limo. These players know that. Judging by the pictures they didn’t seem to mind what was taking place, and I’m not sure we should either.

This will eventually blow over in Chicago, as did the Patrick Kane cab incident. As a fan of the Hawks, and of hockey in general, I hope the Hawks are able to weather this storm.

All this does is momentarily over shadow the real story behind this club, the only story of any relevance to any Hawk fan. That being the quest to hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup when it’s all said and done. See the Hawks have been missing in action for the better part of the past decade in the city of Chicago. It wasn’t until last year before they became relevant once again.

It’s hard to believe that relevancy will be stripped just because some pictures have surfaced of a few professional athletes being well, professional athletes!

Proposal ... Karen and Stephen

Karen Chisholm, 34, built a bonfire in her garden and set it ablaze when randy Stephen McKee, 41, made the indecent proposal after he had been accused of having affairs.

She has now been ordered to pay him £75 compensation after appearing in court over the row last December.

But last night Karen laughed off the pair’s bust-up at a party at his house in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire.

She said: “A woman was trying to wind me up and say her and her sister had been sleeping with Stephen.

“He turned round and said ‘Karen do you not want to have a threesome?’ I snapped and flew into a rage.”

After thumping her cheeky partner, leaving him with a black eye, she ran home and burnt his gear.

The couple split up for three months but got back together after Stephen begged her forgiveness.

Karen was admonished at Airdrie Sheriff Court last week after admitting destroying property worth £150.

At 3.30am:

Who wants some? The Germans are more like us than we’d feared.

But the best part of the report is the challenge laid down by the German tabloid:

The orgy left the Brits – infamous for drunkenness and violence at holiday resorts across Europe – floundering in the bad behaviour stakes.

One could argue that this is a stereotypical and arcane image, perhaps one encouraged by the notion that Europeans owe the British a debt of thanks – if that means mopping up their vomit and other excretions, then so be it – and that the Germans are to be forever apologetic.

The 22-year-old widower of Jade Goody was allegedly at London’s Faces nightspot when he started recruiting fellow revellers to return to his bachelor pad in Woodford Green, Essex.

Roxy Townsend, who was one of the women in attendance, claimed that there were chaotic scenes at Tweed’s residence after his plan went ahead.

She told the Daily Star: “There was loads of booze and people were soon sneaking off to have sex. When the bedrooms were full, people just did it wherever they could find room. It was crazy.

“We go to Faces nightclub every week and we have the same group of friends as Jack. Jack had invited about 10 best-looking boys and 20 sexy girls back to his new pad to ‘christen’ it.”

Alison Minards is at the centre of a Scotland Yard investigation. The Yard wondered why they weren't invited

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – Alison Minards, 19, a civilian detention officer at Kennington police station, faces a grilling from senior officers over an alleged drunken orgy at south London pub the Pineapple.

An investigation is being held over claims that an unnamed WPc had sex with between one and five male Lambeth officers at a leaving party at the packed bar in Kennington, near Waterloo station.

The orgy allegedly began when a WPc, who is in her late twenties, performed a sex act on her boyfriend in the packed bar area.

Four other officers in their thirties are reported to have had sex with a woman in the pub lavatory.

Some of the officers, believed to be from Kennington police station, reportedly filmed the incident on mobile phones.

The Wpc and six police officers are facing the sack.

Sources said the woman had been drinking through the evening. It is understood no complaint from either woman has been received and no one has been suspended

Miss Minards has been off sick since the investigation was launched and refused to comment on the matter when challenged at her parents’ house yesterday.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson was said to be angry over what he called a “disturbing incident”.

Scotland Yard confirmed an inquiry into gross misconduct was under way.

A Met spokesman said: “Officers from our Directorate of Professional Standards are investigating an allegation of gross misconduct involving several officers and staff from Lambeth borough.”

350 guests attended an orgy at a 17th century house near Bristol.

BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM – The owner of the 17th century “Halswell House” near Bristol (England) was in for quite a shock. His manor, which is usually rented for wedding ceremonies, was the scene of a sex orgy including around 350 guests – without him knowing it was going to happen.

But at midnight “it was like someone pushed a switch button”, he told newspapers. “One of the guest on the stage said ‘The moment has come. The spell has begun,’ and everyone began kissing and having sex.”

The 45 years old owner then told his two 19-year-old waitresses to go home and called the police. But the officers told him there was nothing they could do as they were all willing adults and it was happening on a private property.

All the owner could do was to wait until it ended and have breakfast served the next morning. But, according to him, none of the guests went to have it.

According to Naigai Times (July 10), the chartered bus, whose destination was a hot springs resort in Gunma Prefecture, was being used to host orgies.

An artist's rendition of the deadly fall

The victim, Benjamin Peralta, allegedly fell to his death from Unit 1 Penthouse of Tower B of Victoria Towers in the village of West Triangle at dawn Wednesday.

His body was found sprawled on the ledge of the sixth story.

Chief Inspector Benjamin Elenzano, chief of the homicide unit of the Quezon City Police District, said they were still waiting for the autopsy result that would determine how Peralta died exactly.

“Initial investigation showed that he was hurled or pushed to the glass window by a strong force that smashed the glass,” Elenzano said.

He quoted the victim’s girlfriend, Vanessa Enomoto, as saying she had seen the group engaged in wild parties before.

The group refers to Peralta and his companions at the penthouse unit who were identified as Ryan Lalin, Antonio Peña Jr., R. A. Carlos and Lucky Mercado.

“The people in the unit could have used ecstasy and the party of sex orgy went out of control that led to the death of the victim,” Elenzano said.

Officer on case, Police Officer 2 Rodel Tumangday, said they have been looking for the unit’s owner, a certain Arturo Peña Jr.

“Based on the statements of the security guards, he was at his unit before the body of the victim was found,” Tumangday said.
