Another robber was shot dead on the scene.
The injured robber had hidden the firearm in the front of his trousers. When he removed the weapon, a shot went off by accident, hitting him in the groin.

In Christchurch District Court this morning, Jason Paul Somerville, 33, admitted killing his wife Rebecca Chamberlain, 35, and neighbour Tisha Lowry, 28.
Police found the women’s bodies under Somerville’s Wainoni house in early September. Tisha Lowry was murdered in September 2008 after she disappeared while walking home. Rebecca Chamberlain was killed on August 30, 2009. Read the rest of this entry »

The judge sentenced Rodell Vareen to five years in prison, but he will only have to serve three years as long as he successfully completes two years of probation and undergoes additional therapy once released from prison.

According to a Collier County Sheriff’s Office report:
David Todd Napodano, 42, told investigators he was found naked in his van because he had “explosive diarrhea” and was using his underwear to clean himself.

Laszlo Arsenio Horvath: America's next Top Chef may get his ingredients in unusual places (perish the thought)
This is a story that is hard to tell without getting nauseous. It is so outside the ‘norm’ (whatever ‘norm’ is) that it is just beyond the pale. But we will try. Laszlo Horvath is a 21-year-old Bithlo, Florida man. He was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after it was discovered that he had been having sex with his dog. It started with an anonymous tip to CrimeLine alleging the dog was in need of medical care. When investigators visited Horvath, he refused to pay for veterinarian care for his dog so an investigator convinced him to allow animal services to take the poor animal. Police said Adam Manning sexually assaulted the nurse as she wheeled his wife into the delivery room.
The 30 year old had told the nurse she was “cute” then reached round to grab her breasts.
Police in Ogden, Utah, were called to the hospital and arrested Manning on charges of forcible sexual assault.

Julia E. Laack, 36, of Sheboygan was charged Friday with felony battery of a peace officer, resisting an officer, shoplifting and two counts of disorderly conduct, the Sheboygan Press reported.
The criminal complaint alleges Laack stole a bag of beef jerky and a lighter at a convenience store Thursday afternoon. Police went to her home. Karen Chisholm, 34, built a bonfire in her garden and set it ablaze when randy Stephen McKee, 41, made the indecent proposal after he had been accused of having affairs.

OTTAWA, CANADA – The Crown is considering a dangerous offender bid for a deaf-mute man who pleaded guilty yesterday to his sixth sexual assault.
Marc Lecuyer, 31, entered his guilty plea through a sign-language interpreter.
