The convict, Rabo Mohammed was arrested by a team of policemen on patrol around the stadium in the town.
Prosecuting Police Officer, Idrisu Sule told the court that the accused was arrested with a stolen goat and two kids inside the township stadium while trying to have sexual intercourse with the goat.
The accused who pleaded guilty to the charges told the court that he was involved in the shameful act because of the sexual desire that was burning in him during and after the Ramadan fasting.
He told the court that he was married man with six children and was living in a single room because the other rooms in house had collapsed. He said his mother in-law was also staying with them which made it not convenient for him to have sex with his wife.
He said: “I could not meet with my wife for a very long time now and that has been disturbing me and I have no money to spend on free women.
He pleaded with the judge to forgive him, promising never to engage in such act again.
Delivering judgement, Alhaji Nasiru Zage sentenced him to two years imprisonment or a fine of N20,000 as well as be given 25 strokes of the cane at five different location in the town.
Meanwhile, the accused has received the 25 strokes of the cane at Kara, Bakin Kasuwa, Tasha, Sabon-Gari and Chief Palace as ordered by the Sharia Court Judge.
