Fevola with big rubber cock
Despite pleas to ban Mad Monday, an intoxicated Fevola was seen at Naughton’s Hotel in Royal Parade at 7.30 last night along with skipper Chris Judd and many other players in what witnesses described as a large drinking session.
A pub patron told the Herald Sun that Carlton players appeared intoxicated.
He claimed Fevola was swinging an enormous sex toy above his head describing his behaviour as “disgraceful”.
“They were larger than life. They were intimating and had a go at most of us boys. It was pretty aggressive.”
The witness said players including Richard Hadley, Mitch Robinson, Heath Scotland, Bryce Gibbs, Jordan Russell and Nick Stevens, were also at the bar.
“They thought they were the Kings of Ireland.”
He said the players had a “babysitter” with them who was trying to keep the players under control.
“They even started getting aggressive toward themselves, they tried to have a go at each other.”
He said his friends became distressed when several players became aggressive on the footpath outside the famous university drinking hole.
“There was a little altercation,” he said.
Several Carlton players were later seen drinking at the Rising Sun hotel in Richmond but left around 9pm apparently to move on to another pub.
A staff member told the Herald Sun the end-of-season drinks were more “Mad Monday” than a quiet dinner.
“Yeah there were a few famous faces, Fev was in,” he said.
“They were on a pub crawl and I think they were going on to other pubs.”
Club spokesman Ian Coutts refused to comment.
Fevola made Mad Monday headlines last year when he paraded outside a city bar in a nightie with a sex toy protruding from his pants.
Also last year, former Melbourne players Ben Holland and Nathan Carroll were involved in a scuffle outside St Kilda’s Barkly Hotel.
Premier John Brumby last month labelled the traditional end-of-season booze-up “tired and outdated”.
