OCALA, FLORIDA – Watch Commander Capt. Mike Rolls was driving on I-75 in Ocala around midnight when he spotted someone on a motorcycle — and that person didn’t appear to have any clothes on.
Not even a helmet.
He reported it to Deputy Christine Post.
Post found Dante J. Krauss standing next to his silver 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle. And he wasn’t wearing any clothing, reports the Ocala Star Banner.
Guess some people really like the feel of the wind…
The unemployed man told the deputy he did not remember where he was coming from.The last thing he remembered was going to Hooters.
He admitted he was drinking but he had no explanation for why he was nude.
Krauss was given a shirt, courtesy of a nearby hotel, and his lower body was covered with a shawl that was on the handlebars of the motorcycle.
Krauss failed A field sobriety exercise. During a breathalyzer test, he blew a .178 and a .162. The state’s legal limit is .08.
But it looks like he’s had some experience driving drunk: his driver’s history shows he has four DUI convictions. In 1991, his license was revoked for 10 years.
Talk about cruising for bruising.
