HOUSTON, TEXAS– Harris County deputies arrested a naked man after a wild police chase early Saturday morning.
A deputy said he spotted a suspicious pickup truck in the Huntwick Forest subdivision around 1:45 a.m., so he tried to pull it over.
The truck drove off, heading to Stuebner Airline at a high rate of speed, deputies said.
The truck made quick U-turns, heading back south to 1960 and then west to Wunderlich, where it came to a dead-end road, deputies said.
The driver, apparently unable to stop, crashed into a tree in a yard.
Deputies said he jumped out, stripped off all of his clothes and took off running through the neighborhood.
A K-9 unit was called in, and they found the man hiding in a nearby backyard.
There was a female passenger in the truck, but she was cooperative and was not arrested, deputies said.
Deputies said the truck was recently reported stolen.
