Cops Arrest Man For Exposing Himself Twice In One Day

EDISON, NEW JERSEY – Edison cops say they arrested a man for exposing himself at a local motel, then arrested him again hours later for the same offense.

According to authorities, 48-year-old John Harchar was arrested Sunday afternoon at the Beauty Rest Motel on Route 1 after a female employee reported a naked man masturbating on a balcony outside his room.

When the responding officer arrived to the hotel, he looked up at the balcony and witnessed Harchar doing exactly what the employee described, police say. The officer went to the room and arrested Harchar. He was taken to the Edison police station where he was charged with lewdness and possessing marijuana, and later released.

Hours later, approximately at 8:30 p.m., police received a call from the Days Inn Motor Lodge on Route 1. A woman reportedly told cops when she was walking her trash to an outdoor dumpster, when she saw a completely naked man masturbating outside his room, while looking at her. Turns out, it was Harchar.

This time around, the 48-year-old was taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, where he remains in lieu of $5,000 bond.
