The man was arrested by police on Friday after drivers claimed they saw him performing an indecent act on the animal in a field near the A30 in Feltham.
He was arrested on suspicion of bestiality and questioned at a West London station and bailed to return.
A police source was quoted in The Sun as saying the man told officers he was sexually attracted to horses and could not resist interfering with the animal when he saw it in the field.
