Abi Titmuss, desperate housewife.

Exclusive: Abi Titmuss lays herself bare.. as so many others have done before

The REAL Abi Titmuss UNCOVERS herself for the News of the World like NEVER BEFORE—telling all in searingly honest detail about her rollercoaster life for the first time.

In an exclusive interview before the publication of her no-holds-barred diaries, the controversial glamour girl aims to show there’s more to her than lesbian romps, drugs, dodgy sex games and dodgier men.

And she tells how the fallout surrounding her notorious ex-lover John Leslie even drove her to consider SUICIDE.

IT’S a very different Abi Titmuss who slips unnoticed into the pub, sits down quietly in the corner and begins to talk of regret, shame and her longing to build a new sort of life.

Now 32, she has come to the conclusion that it’s time to show the world what lies beneath the familiar shapely curves and blonde mane.

So today we can reveal an Abi Titmuss you’ve never seen before— talking with searing honesty about SEX, DRUGS …and her WILD five years with disgraced daytime TV presenter John Leslie.

For the first time she is prepared to admit that she now regrets her life with Leslie, the man she stood by after he was accused of rape by several women in 2002.

“John was dominant—there was a massive 11-year age gap—and I was young and naïve,” says the beauty. “Life with him got wilder and wilder. Things got too out of hand—and that was difficult for me.”

During one of Leslie’s wild nights Abi was even infamously TAPED having sex with him and another girl. It was a mistake she’s not ashamed of—but which she now wants to put in context.

“Girls threw themselves at him,” she says. “If that meant going with me, even kissing or having sex with me so they could sleep with him then they would do that.

“Although I didn’t do it just for John. Since then I have been with another woman. There was an element of me that wanted to. Before I met him I was always curious about girls. But when we made that sex tape of us with another girl we never dreamt it would get out.

“The sex wasn’t degrading though. I don’t feel any shame about it at all. I was never forced into anything. And I don’t blame John.”

Snorted

But Abi DOES blame Leslie for introducing her to her cocaine habit. “It was his social circles that got me into drugs in the first place,” she says. “I’ve tried cocaine many times.

“It was everywhere, as it is at most showbiz parties. I had said no to it a thousand times but one night I thought, ‘Oh f*** it, I wonder what it’s like?’ And I snorted a line. And that was the start of it.”

Her turbulent relationship with Leslie—which ended five years ago— may have brought her fame and fortune—but it also plunged her into depression so deep she even contemplated SUICIDE.

“After five years with John Leslie I think anyone would need therapy to be honest with you,” she says. “Everything had built up and I’d got lower and lower. Some pretty dark thoughts went through my mind. It was only my parents that stopped me from doing something really stupid.

“I’m proud I stood by John, but to go through hell like that because of something that horrendous and to become famous because of it does not help you sleep at night.”

Former nurse Abi has always been criticised for supporting Leslie. He was accused of a number of sex attacks after TV star Ulrika Jonsson wrote about being raped by an unnamed presenter. There was speculation Leslie was the culprit and then other women came forward and made statements to the police.

The This Morning frontman’s career nosedived even though he was ultimately cleared. Meanwhile, Abi, the pretty, adoring nurse at his side, became an overnight sensation.

She left her NHS job for an endless round of glamour shoots, reality TV shows, star parties and—after her split with Leslie — a series of celebrity flings.

She says her new book—The Secret Diaries of Abigail Titmuss—is an attempt to “close the door” on that chapter of her life. But it is being published just weeks after Leslie, 43, was arrested again after a woman claimed he attacked her 13 years ago.

The new scandal has brought it all back to Abi. “It was a huge shock to see it happening again,” she says. “The time when those other women accused him we’d been on and off for a year.

“I just went back to him to be there and support him. It was a decision I consciously made.

“Of course I looked in his eyes and asked him if he’d done it. Quite fittingly, there was a huge thunderstorm going on. We were hiding in the top floor of a friend’s flat.

“But he denied it all. And I believed him. He was no angel—but he certainly was never violent.”

It was Leslie’s partying, revolving around cocaine and orgies, that finished them in the end.

“When I first met him he introduced things like that to me and I found it liberating,” says Abi.

“It’s all men’s fantasy to have two women together, but when your boyfriend wants you to perform EVERY time a party gets crazy then that becomes a bit laborious.

“That was probably instrumental in the downfall of our relationship.”

When they split, a queue of famous men formed. Abi smiles as she counts off a few of her celebrity conquests. She is happy to talk about her night with ROBBIE WILLIAMS, and how she was introduced to him by her ex-boyfriend DAVID WALLIAMS.

“David called me and told me he was at a hotel with Robbie who wanted to meet me. At the end of the night Robbie asked me if I wanted a lift home.”

One thing led to another as the pair got intimate in the back seat. “I had a great time,” says Abi. “I snogged him to start with. He was a good kisser. But I think having spent time with him we both knew we were not going to be getting married.” She’s still close friends with Walliams, the camp comic who she fell in love with in 2004. “We had a good sex life. He thought I was pretty racy. He told me I was the most exciting girl he’d been in bed with. I think I scared him a bit.”

Another high profile lover was former Man United star LEE SHARPE whom she met on Celebrity Love Island. She says: “I was very much in love with Lee. We went out, split up and then most people don’t know we got back together. It went on for a year. But he cheated on me and the trust was gone for me.”

Also gone before they even started were three celebrity lotharios who tried to bed her.

Snogged

First up was Strictly Come Dancing womaniser BRENDAN COLE. Abi says: “I very drunkenly snogged him one night at my place after the Dirty Dancing premiere. He started to dance with me. But after kissing him I told him to foxtrot off. I said no.”

Comedian RUSSELL BRAND attempted to pull Abi in Edinburgh. She recalls: “He pressed his number into my hand the first time we met.

“We did speak on the phone. I liked him—but it’s Russell Brand!”

Then came Tottenham Hotspur defender JONATHAN WOODGATE. She met him while filming the movie Goal 2 in Spain. Abi stresses: “We had a nice night out and he did try it on. But after my experience with Lee Sharpe I didn’t want another footballer.”

Now she is with Marc Warren, the 41-year-old star of BBC drama Hustle. She has been off drink and drugs for the past eight months.

“I’m teetotal. My boyfriend doesn’t drink and is really supportive. That helps massively,” she says. “And if I don’t drink I don’t want drugs.”

Abi also claims she has also had enough of wild sex orgies and if Marc were to ever suggest filming her in bed he’d be in for a shock. “If someone pointed a camera at me in bed now I’d probably shoot them,” she says. “Now I’m with someone I really love I would never go there.”

She hasn’t talked to Leslie since the split. “We’re not in contact any more,” she says. “I sometimes look back and wonder what my life would have been like if I’d never been with John. But not for long. You can’t live life thinking, what if?”
