Camera Ban for Tan Salon Porn Man

Pornography was a “complusion” for Livermore, the court heard.

A man who filmed naked women at a tanning salon has been banned from owning a mobile phone with a camera.

FLINTSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM – Daniel Eric Livermore, from Connah’s Quay in Flintshire, was caught when a 17-year-old noticed she was being filmed at a tanning salon in the town.

Police discovered the Livermore had filmed 11 women in varying states of undress, Flintshire Magistrates heard.

Livermore, 34, was placed on a three-year supervision order after admitting secretly filming the women.

As well as a ban on owning a mobile phone with a camera and internet facility, he was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the next five years, and banned from entering sun tanning salons.

The court heard that Livermore was arrested after the manager of salon in Connah’s Quay was alerted by a teenage customer.

He was detained by staff and his mobile phone seized.

Police who analysed the phone discovered 14 films of 11 women.

“They show women in various states of undress including full frontal nudity,” said prosecutor Justin Espie.

“Obsessive”

Defending Livermore, his solicitor Richard Thomas said the voyeur was “fascinated” by pornography, to the point it had become a compulsion.

Mr Thomas said Livermore had sought help from his family doctor, and was believed to be suffering from an obsessive, compulsive disorder.

“It is something which has been building up for my client for the last 25 to 30 years,” he said.

Livermore was glad that he had been caught and Mr Thomas said that it was surprising that his client had not been caught sooner, because his use of the phone had been “so blatant and obvious”.

“He wanted to get caught. That was the only way that he was going to break the cycle and get himself some help,” he added.
