Sabotage Blamed for Televised Sex Acts

video cameraPHOENIX, ARIZONA – Broadcasters have blamed “sabotage” for the pornographic images that appeared on Phoenix television during a Tom Brokaw news special on national healthcare.

“A rigorous investigation” with termination for the culprits was promised by ION Television, operator of KPPX-TV, Phoenix, over which the graphic scenes showed, touching off a flood of angry calls.

One Chandler, Ariz., parent, Brenda Schodt, told the East Valley Tribune she was surprised when a series of graphic sex acts suddenly appeared on her television screen.

“Maybe five or 10 minutes into the show there was no volume,” Schodt said. “I thought it was the TV, but when I looked up, there were these images.”
