French figure skater Surya Bonaly at her January 31st appearance for PETA
ASNIERES-SUR-SEINE, FRANCE- Five-time European champion in figure-skating France’s Surya Bonaly has claimed she intends to appear totally naked on the ice at the Asnieres skating-rink, France, TF1 Channel reported.
Bonaly says she wants to draw attention of society to the extirpation of seal cubs in North Canada.
Surya Bonaly left amateur sport for professional skating in 1999. She has been working in the USA within the recent years. She became the face of a new campaign to protect animals organized by American animal liberation society PETA, whose members are well-known with their shocking performances. Four members of the society occupied Jean Paul Gaultier boutique in Paris and spoilt the show-windows with red paint to protest against using fur by the fashion designer in his collections.
