GREENBURGH, NEW YORK – A Greenburgh police officer suspended after a dominatrix accused him of getting her to satisfy his sexual fetish was acquitted today of the criminal charge in the case.
Town Judge Doris Friedman found Erik Ward not guilty of official misconduct, saying there was reasonable doubt about Gina Pane’s testimony. The Rye Brook woman claimed she defecated for Ward as he masturbated while he tried to recruit her as a police informant.
The misdemeanor charge could have landed Ward in jail for up to a year. He still face departmental charges in an ongoing hearing before the Board of Police Commissioners that could end in his dismissal.
